Two individuals, one wearing a baseball cap and glasses, are in the dark, illuminated by a bright screen, possibly in a control room or on a production set.

My name is Nate Comer, a Navy veteran and the founder of TRU Focus Media. My journey into filmmaking grew from a lifelong passion for creativity through visual arts, motion design, graphics, music, and storytelling. That foundation led me to earn a degree in Emerging Media & Digital Arts from Southern Oregon University, where I sharpened the skills that shape my work today.

What drew me to filmmaking is the powerful intersection of technical precision and emotional storytelling. It’s more than just visuals, it’s about using sound, light, and rhythm to create connection and meaning.

Early in my career, I directed a short documentary featuring two Purple Heart recipients, which aired on PBS and screened at regional film festivals. That experience reinforced my belief in the power of story to honor, inform, and inspire and it’s that same purpose that drives every project I take on.

I’ve worked across nonprofit, corporate, and commercial production, gaining hands-on experience in lighting, camera systems, video editing & sound design, motion graphics, story development, and the full production pipeline. As a former multimedia specialist for a software company, I also helped translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visual content.

TRU Focus Media has been a dream of mine for many years. Being true to myself means sharing my passion for video with others. “TRU” reflects the values of authenticity and integrity I carried from military service, while “Focus” speaks to both the visual and strategic vision I aim to deliver. I approach every project with intention, professionalism, and purpose.

If you're looking for a creative partner who values honest collaboration and meaningful storytelling, I’d be honored to help bring your vision to life.
